14th International Motorcycle Conference - Hybrid event for PTW safety: SAFETY IN MOTION
Whether on site at INTERMOT Cologne or on screen from all over the world, when the 14th International Motorcycle Conference opens its doors on 3 and 4 October 2022, everyone will be able to follow and discuss the latest findings in the field of motorcycle safety. Because then the time will come again and the Institute for Motorcycle Safety (ifz) will invite experts and other interested parties from numerous nations to this almost unique world congress in Cologne.The event will soon be started, the contents of the lectures are ready and the registrations have begun. Due to its excellent partners, such as the American Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF, USA), the European (ACEM) and German Motorcycle Industry Association (IVM), the German Road Safety Council (DVR) and, last but not least, Koelnmesse, this year's ifz International Motorcycle Conference will once again set standards in the context of the International Motorcycle and Scooter Fair INTERMOT Cologne.
The aim is to publish the latest research results on powered two-wheelers and to promote the international exchange of road safety experts in order to further reduce the number of accidents involving powered two-wheelers worldwide. Hence, the motto "Safety in Motion" marks the focus of the event.
Once again, the two days will offer the committed participants from research and practice an excellent opportunity to exchange information on the latest safety-relevant aspects of motorcycling. A highlight of the conference will be the high-level round table discussion "Vision 2030+: the motorcycle industry's future within the EU mobility transformation", organised under the leadership of ACEM, the European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers. Industry leaders and policy makers will discuss key topics such as the potential of powered two- wheelers mobility for the urban transport of the future and ongoing efforts to further improve the safety of powered two-wheelers.

14. Internationale Motorradkonferenz: Hybrid-Event zur Zweiradsicherheit: SAFETY IN MOTION
Ob vor Ort im Umfeld der INTERMOT Köln oder aus aller Welt am Bildschirm, wenn am 3. und 4. Oktober 2022 die 14. Internationale Motorradkonferenz ihre Pforten öffnet, kann jeder die neuesten Ergebnisse aus dem Bereich der Motorradsicherheit verfolgen und diskutieren. Denn dann ist es wieder soweit und das Institut für Zweiradsicherheit (ifz) lädt Expertinnen und Experten sowie weitere Interessierte aus zahlreichen Nationen zu diesem nahezu einmaligen Weltkongress nach Köln ein.Bald kann es losgehen, die Inhalte der Vorträge stehen und die Anmeldungen haben begonnen. Dank starker Partner, wie der amerikanischen Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF, USA), des europäischen (ACEM) und deutschen Industrie-Verbands Motorrad (IVM), des Deutschen Verkehrssicherheitsrats (DVR) und nicht zuletzt der Koelnmesse wird auch die diesjährige Internationale Motorradkonferenz des ifz im Umfeld der Internationalen Motorrad-, Roller- und E-Bike Messe INTERMOT Köln wieder Maßstäbe setzen.
Das Ziel: Die Veröffentlichung neuester Forschungsergebnisse rund um das motorisierte Zweirad und die Förderung des internationalen Austausches von Verkehrssicherheitsexpertinnen und -experten sollen dazu beitragen die Unfallzahlen motorisierter Zweiräder weltweit weiter zu senken. Das Motto „Safety in Motion“ steht hierbei im Mittelpunkt des Geschehens.
Auch diesmal bieten die beiden Tage den engagierten Teilnehmenden aus Forschung und Praxis eine exzellente Gelegenheit, um sich über den neuesten Stand sicherheitsrelevanter Aspekte des Motorradfahrens auszutauschen. Ein Höhepunkt der Konferenz wird die hochrangig besetzte Round Table Discussion „Vision 2030+: the motorcycle industry’s future within the EU mobility transformation“ sein, die federführend von ACEM, dem Europäischen Verband der Motorradhersteller, organisiert wird. Führende Vertreter der Branche und politische Entscheidungsträger werden über Schlüsselthemen wie die Potenziale zweirädriger Mobilität für den Stadtverkehr der Zukunft und die laufenden Bemühungen zur weiteren Verbesserung der Sicherheit von motorisierten Zweirädern diskutieren.
