A sector designs the future

Electrically powered bikes will play a decisive role in the future, especially in urban mobility. The interest of trade visitors and public audiences is therefore considerable. Bikes with electric motors bridge the gap between motorbikes and bicycles - sustainable and environmentally friendly.

No wonder that last year 120 suppliers and around 350 brands presented the complete range of so called "Light Electric Vehicles" (LEV) and attracted a lot of attention in the media.

A large test course, the electro-scooter and LEV world championships, and various symposia and conferences perfectly rounded off the electric part of INTERMOT.

Trend topic: Electric mobility

A total of 126 exhibitors from the electric mobility sector presented their new products at INTERMOT e-motion 2010.

Around 54.5 % of the visitors (or about 106,000 in total) came to the e-motion halls.

INTERMOT e-motion 2012 will once again be an integral part of INTERMOT. This trend topic will again be holistically presented in hall 5.2., which, among other things, will provide direct access to the outdoor programme and the test track.

At the upcoming INTERMOT e-motion, Koelnmesse will once again cooperate with partners to explain the trend topic and bring it to life. The activities will range from a lively stage programme to a specialist conference.

Test track

Nothing is more convincing then one's own experiences. At INTERMOT e-motion, you will have the opportunity to personally try out electric drive two-wheelers ranging from pedelecs to e-scooters and e-motorbikes.

At our test track, you can experience CO2-neutral mobility frist hand. The starting lane will be integrated into the exhibition area - an example of how theory and practice are closely interlinked at INTERMOT e-motion.
